Hello,
First and foremost, sending everyone well wishes. I know it has been a challenging time for everyone. I’ve had to teach my Biomechanics classes at the University of Pennsylvania virtually for the first time and as I am still “high risk”, I’m not able to join the team in person. As Pennsylvania is still officially under “lockdown”, we have only had two team members working (shout out to Sean for keeping things moving) on manufacturing, shipping and designing of the large HoverGlide. We are focused on first keeping everyone healthy and safe and then getting out the small HoverGlides as quickly as possible. I know you are as excited to have them in your hands as we are.
I wanted to update everyone on where we are with the manufacture of the small packs. We have shipped out to over 190 backers so far, with some receiving several packs. In total, we have completed 350 total small HoverGlides.
Our next phase is shipping to Canada, which we have started, and then focus on international shipping. For our international backers, thank you for being patient. Please know that the custom declarations process may slow things up a bit, but if you have any questions during the process, please email us at [email protected].

Dear Backers,
As you are probably very aware of the unprecedented times that we are living in, it has slowed down the pre-pandemic timeline we previously shared on March 17th, which we were on track of hitting. We are taking every precaution to ensure that those who are still able to ship the packs out are in good health and not putting themselves in danger. Personally, I am in the “high risk” category, so I have ended in-person interactions for now, but I am still communicating with the team via phone and Zoom multiple times a day.
For now, we are focusing on sending out shipments to the US as that reduces the number of delivery services we interact with day-to-day. We are keeping a daily eye on the situation and will re-start sending out international shipping as soon as possible. So far, we have shipped a total of 40 HoverGlides. We anticipate that our anticipated timeline originally outlined below will take a few weeks longer to ship out the first wave of 130 packs.
As a reminder, once your HoverGlide(s) ships out, you will receive an email confirmation and tracking number. Once you get your packs, I am available for a Zoom call if you have any questions, just email us at [email protected].
We are thinking of everyone during this tough time and hope all are well. We are still working as quickly and safely as possible so that when things return to normal, you will have your HoverGlide with you to enjoy the outdoors in a new way.

The HoverGlide team hopes that everyone is well during this unprecedented time. As we all have families, it has significantly impacted our day-to-day as I'm sure it has yours. That being said, we have persisted in continuing the production process. Since we are a small team, we have been able to keep operations moving while also still taking every precaution possible to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
By the end of the day today, we will have our first 20 small HoverGlides shipped! Once your HoverGlide has shipped, you will be getting an email from us saying that your order has shipped along with a tracking number. We are on track to ship, at a minimum, 130 more HoverGlides over the next six weeks as long as there are no government regulations requiring us to stop work.
We appreciate your support and know that we are thinking of all of you during this time.

Hello,
This update will be short and sweet because we are transitioning into shipping mode. Since we are such a small team, we will be alternating between creating packs and shipping them as we cannot do them simultaneously at this point in the creation process.
The team has been busy putting the final touches on the first wave of HoverGlide packages. Our “how-to” video is final and we are finalizing additional items that will be a part of the delivery to help ensure that your HoverGlide experience is as smooth as possible.
We are currently doing testing with local backpack enthusiasts to make sure that the instructions are clear and easy to use straight out of the box. We’ve been “living” with the pack, so we wanted to get outside perspectives. Once we receive their feedback, we will make any needed corrections and then will be ready to start shipping!
We are so ready to get these into your hands and onto your backs!

Happy New Year,
We worked through the holiday break to bring you your HoverGlide as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyone's patience as we get this right. Please know that this has been a true labor of love and that we are taking the time and attention to make packs that we will be proud of and hope you love as much as we do.
We recently filmed the “how-to” video, which will help introduce you to your pack. Because it’s a new type of backpack, there are a few things to learn but it will be second-nature in no time. Here are sneak-peek screenshots from the video.
We also did additional critical testing which showed us one small issue with the HoverGlide cords that we had to problem-solve, which took about 10 days. That being said, everything has been resolved to our satisfaction. In addition, I personally have road-tested and worn the pack a good deal during my daily commute by train and found some additional small tweaks to be made to make the packs even more user-friendly.
Because we are a very small team of three, putting the packs together by hand, we need to ship out the packs in waves of 150-200. This because our manufacturing team then needs to then transition to become the shipping team. The first run of small packs will ship out mid-February. We will be sure to post another update as soon as the shipping starts as well as send an email confirmation as soon as your pack(s) ship. Once the first round of shipping is complete, we will finish the rest of the small packs and ship them.
